The Many Uses for Muslin Swaddles

I’m not sure if you have heard, but Aden and Anais has released a great (RED) collection to help moms who are suffering with HIV and AIDS to not pass the virus to their unborn babies. Check them out here. But muslin swaddle blankets are not just for babies. We originally bought them with Mason when he was a baby to use to swaddle him, and I quickly learned they were great for much more than just swaddling!First, they are great if you are breastfeeding and would like to cover yourself; the material is super thin and makes it easier for baby to breathe, I found a normal blanket was too heavy and he would get sweaty. Mason, being a summer baby, needed coverage while in the stroller. Our sun shade can only cover so much of his body, so I would tie the swaddle to each side of my stroller and drape it over the canopy to keep any sun off his little body.   The muslin swaddles also make a great light blanket for summer babies or even for your little one to use in bed.
